I love shooting at Wild Hearts Farm! It’s a beautiful place any time of year. When I recently got asked by the owner to come down and take a couple shots of her and her boys harvesting vegetables in their amazingly bountiful vegetable garden, I was thrilled. We ended up doing a late evening shoot. We were hoping for golden hour, but the smoke drifting over from Canada had a different idea. The smoke blocked out every last shred of sunlight. I kind of love the effect though! Turns out that if shoot vegetables, you really do want overcast!
Wild Hearts Farm is a wonderful working family owned farm. They’ve opened up their doors to photographers. With a vegetable patch, chickens, a pond, a 100 year old barn, flowers, and swings, there’s a photo worthy moment waiting to happen in every corner. They also just opened a natural light studio with gorgeous light that I’m itching to try out. Located 45 minutes outside of Seattle it’s the perfect spot for photos.
